Are you Gas Safe® registered?

Absolutely. Our Gas Safe business identification is 210563. Please enter our number into the Gas Safe website business search.

What areas are your services available in?

We cover Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent, Cheshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands.

I have the required parts/materials for the job required. Can you charge me labour only?

We do not work on a labour only basis. We only use materials from our regular and reliable suppliers so that we can guarantee the quality of the finished job. We are always able to ensure you get a good, quality product at a competitive price using our suppliers that we have built relationships with over many years – and in the case of any problems with the materials, they are always able to resolve them promptly.

Do you hold public liability insurance?

Yes, absolutely. Please contact us if you require further information.

How accurate are your appointment times?

We do our best to keep to times given however flexibility is always needed to cover for a previous job taking longer than expected or for unexpected traffic delays.

Do you record phone calls?

Yes. All our phone calls are monitored and recorded for training and quality purposes.

I have had a repair completed and it took a few minutes. Do I have to pay the full hour?

We charge for the first hour which covers travel to and from the job as well as the works done on site.

Can I send photographs for help with the quotation?

Any information helps in providing a quotation. We will always attend the site to quote for larger projects.

Are you VAT registered?

Yes we are. Our VAT Number is 8788 43457.

What payments methods do you accept?

We accept bank transfers, credit and debit cards, cheques and cash.

Can I pay via Credit Card?

Yes we offer a credit card payment facility. You would just need to phone the office who will take the card payment over the phone.

We are a letting agency who are looking for regular plumbing services. Do you offer payment terms?

Payment terms can be agreed dependent on the volume of work.

What should I do if I smell gas/or carbon monoxide is escaping?

If ever you smell gas, you should turn off the gas supply at the meter, open all doors and windows, vacate the property and call your gas supplier. Unfortunately, Carbon Monoxide has no odour – ensure you have a Carbon Monoxide monitor.

Will I need to move out of my property to have central heating installed?

Every job will be different but in most cases there will be no need for the client to move out of their home. We will discuss all the options with you during the planning stage.

Can you just supply a radiator or new boiler?

We cover all aspects of heating and plumbing. No job is too big or too small for us.

Do you offer a warranty on the work carried out?

We offer a 12 month warranty on our work.

Can you maintain my new central heating system?

Yes, definitely. We can help you when your system needs maintenance as well as supporting you with the maintenance of any existing systems. We also have a boiler service booking system on our website.

I have an old boiler, can you service it?

What types of boilers do you install?

We will always recommend the best boiler for the system and budget you have.

Do you supply gas safety certificates to landlords?

Yes we do.

I don't have access to a natural gas network

We also offer LPG services and can install and maintain electric boilers.

What is a power flush?

A power-flush is a cleaning solution pumped through the internal pipe-work.

Why would I need a power flush?

Radiators, pumps and valves etc get partially blocked over time with debris and sludge from the heating system. The power-flush can be successful in clearing this debris to make the system more efficient. In some extreme cases, a power-flush is not sufficient and pipe-work may need replacing.

Can you do bathroom remodelling?

Yes we are able to take your dream bathroom from design to completion for you.

How can I avoid frozen pipes?

Insulation is the best option to avoid frozen pipes.

Why does my boiler need servicing?

A service will maintain the safety and efficiency of the boiler. To maintain a manufacturer warranty you will also need to have an annual boiler service.

What size boiler do I need?

Many factors go into this such size of house, radiator sizes and the performance required. It would be determined at a site visit.

What is Inhibitor?

This is a preservative to prevent corrosion inside your heating system.

Do I need a Magnetic Filter?

We recommend a filter is fitted to a system. It can help to remove debris.

How can I improve boiler efficiency and reduce gas usage?

More efficient controls and an energy efficient boiler will help you with reducing your gas usage.

What are Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV)?

These are temperature controls for the room in which the radiator is fitted.

Why is my radiator cold at the top and hot at the bottom?

The radiator may require releasing some air from the radiator (known as bleeding).

Why is my radiator hotter at the top than at the bottom?

This can be because the bottom can get restricted by debris.
